PHOTO:PRINCE GEORGE'S CHRISTENING COINS ISSUED BY ENGLAND'S ROYAL MINT

As Prince George celebrates his royal christening at St. James' Palace today, England's Royal Mint is hard at work creating British coins to commemorate the special occasion.
Approved by Prince William and Kate Middleton, the gold and silver coins are emblazoned with Prince George's name on one side and an image of Queen Elizabeth II on the other.
According to London's Sky News, the new christening coins had to be made much quicker than other coins because design couldn't begin until the baby's gender and name were revealed.
The best part of the special coins could just be the price. Sold for as little as $20.93 (£13), the mementos are affordable for many fans of the royal family.

The big day has finally come and Kate Middleton has once again stolen the spotlight with her Alexander McQueen number(sorry Prince George :D)

During the royal christening ceremony in London Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge was the picture of elegance in a ruffled Alexander McQueen jacket and skirt. The cream ensemble closely matched the colour of the lil Prince'smown robe.Kate's look, however, came with a matching Jane Taylor fascinator-one of her fave accessories.

By her side was husband,Prince William who was in a navy suit with sky blue tie.Prince George(not to be forgotten)also looked extra adorable in an all white Spitalfields silk satin gown made by the Queen's couturier,Angela Kelly.

After Prince George's godparentsand relatives entered the Chapel Royalin St James' Palace on Wednesday,Oct 23,Prince William and Kate Middleton gave the first glimpse of their 3month old son since his first official portraits were unveiled in late August. The Archbishop of Canterbury,Justin Welby presided over the intimate service.Kate's parents,Michael and Carole arrived with her siblings,Pippa and James.William's youngerbrother,Prince Harry came with his grandmother as well as Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

The palace announced hours later that seven people will share the responsibility of being George's godparents-Olivia Baker,Emilia Jardine-Peterson,Earl 'Hugh' Gosvenor,Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton,Julia Samuel,Zara Tindall and William van Custsen.
The baby was baptized in the Lily Font using water from the River Jordan.Queen Victoria and Prince Alvert commissioned the silver font for the birth of their first child,Victoria,Princess Royal,in 1840.It has been used ever since for every royal christening.

After the 45 minute service,Prince George's paternal grandparents hosted a private tea in Clarence House.Guests were served slices of the christening cake which is a tier from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding cake.
Pictures from the christening by the official photographer are expected by Thursday,Oct 24.

According to statements from the palace,Prince William and Kate Middleton chose two hymns, two lessons and two anthems for the 45minute service.
The hymns include "Breathe on Me,Breath of God" and "Be Thou my Vision"
Aunty Pippa Middleton and Uncle,Prince Harry participated by reading the lessons which were St. Luke 18:15-17 and St.John 15:1-5 respectively. The two anthems chosen were "Blessed Jesu! Here we Stand" by Richard Popplewell and "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" by John Rutter."Blessed Jesu! Here We Stand" was written for Prince William's baptism which held on Aug. 4,1982 therefore it has a special significance for the royal family.

Kim & Kanye engaged. See Kim's 15-carat engagement diamond ring

It's official. Kim and Kanye are engaged! Kanye West proposed to his babymama Kim K on her 33rd birthday last night October 21 at San Francisco's AT&T Park where the family was celebrating her day. Kanye, who had first asked Kris Jenner for permission to marry her daughter and gotten her approval, surprised the birthday girl by getting down on one knee in front of her family and friends and proposing with a flawless 15-carat diamond ring designed by jeweler, Lorraine Schwartz.

Kanye also used the field's jumbo screen to flash a "Pleease Marry Meee!!!" sign. It was a romantic evening as an orchestra played afterwards, with fireworks and roman candles exploding into the night sky. The stadium, which is home to the San Francisco Giants, was completely empty except for Kardashian close friends and family members

BBA Angelo back with his South African girlfriend, Candice Arends

According to sources , Beverly Osu's man in the BBA house, South African dancer Angelo Collins is kinda back with his South African girlfriend, Candice Arends.

Well, it's more like he's trying to get her back and they've been spotted meeting up at different spots in South Africa. It remains to be seen if their reconciliation will be a permanent one.

Meanwhile, the gist is that things kinda fell apart for Bev and Angelo while he was in Nigeria a few weeks ago. Not only did Angelo make Bev's people buy his ticket to come to Nigeria, he also refused to be intimate with Bev while he was her though they shared the same hotel rooms. Angelo said he wanted to wait until things got serious between them but it didn't. And they say Bev is sad about it but moving ahead.

Bruce Jenner is a closet transgender?

Hahaha... Don't hate me but I found this article funny
Star Magazine is reporting that Kris Jenner's estranged husband, Bruce is a closet transgender and that their separation is due to the former Olympian wanting to be a woman.
"Bruce has a feminine side. He likes growing his hair out, likes getting manicures and pedicures and won’t leave his house without his diamond earrings. And he’s obsessed with plucking his eyebrows! Kris has told Bruce that she will reveal his secret if he doesn’t go along with her plans about their split or their show." A source told Star
Kim asked the housekeeper if she'd seen any lingerie, and the housekeeper said it was in Bruce's closet. So Kim went inside Bruce's closet and found tons of expensive lingerie that was all stretched out! She took it all and left. . .
Kim told Bruce she had his lingerie. He turned red and walked out. When Kim finally told her sisters, it became a running joke that Bruce wears lingerie. . .
A second source also claims to be aware of Bruce's penchant for women's underthings. "He's always been feminine, so it doesn't surprise me when I found out he was a cross dresser."

UK to pay 1million pounds to transfer 534 Nigerian prisoners home

Hundreds of Nigerian criminals will be sent home to serve out prison sentences under a deal set to be struck by ministers within weeks, according to a report by UK Daily Mail
Talks are continuing into reaching a compulsory prisoner transfer agreement, which could see more than half of the 500 criminals from Nigeria currently in UK jails repatriated.

Prisons minister Jeremy Wright told MailOnline how 'more foreign prisoners must serve their sentences in their own countries'.
Ministers have been ordered to step up efforts to end the scandal of more than one in eight prisoners being from overseas. David Cameron vowed to end the practice of the British taxpayer picking up the bill for criminals with no business in the UK.
Doubt if Nigerians prisoners would want to come serve the rest of their terms in Kirikiri.

The Prime Minister said in 2010 that he would ’personally intervene’ to send more foreign criminals home.

Britain has even made clear it would pay to build new prisons in countries like Nigeria to speed up the process of sending foreign criminals home. Up to £1million has been promised to upgrade Nigerian jails, including a new wing at Kirikiri Prison in Lagos.

Securing an agreement with Nigeria would be seen as a much more significant breakthrough. Latest figures show there were 534 Nigerian nationals in British jails, 485 men and 49 women.
Nigerians account for one in 20 of all foreign prisoners, putting the country fifth in the league table of nations whose citizens have been jailed in the UK.
Justice Minister Mr Wright said: ‘I am clear that more foreign prisoners must serve their sentences in their own countries.

‘That is why we are currently working with the Nigerian Government on a compulsory prisoner transfer agreement to increase the number of prisoners who are transferred.

‘Legislation allowing Nigeria to enter such an arrangement was passed earlier this year by the Nigerian Parliament. We are now working with them on the text of a final agreement.’
Overflowing jails abroad have made it increasingly difficult to deport prisoners to their own country.

It is argued that by paying for building new jails or making existing ones more ‘comfortable’ so they approach British standards, will be repatriated.

Asari-Dokubo establishes university, names it after King Amachree

According to reports, former Niger Delta militant and current leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo, is now a proud owner of a university in Benin Republic...

From Premium Times
The leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Muhajid Asari-Dokubo has joined the swelling rank of private university proprietors with his establishment of a university in the neighbouring Republic of Benin.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo, who already owns a soccer academy in the West African country and another one in Abuja, said the university, which will be known as King Amachree African University, KAAU, had already been accredited to commence degree programmes beginning September 2014.
He told PREMIUM TIMES in an interview in Abuja that the proposed university, named after his ancestor, was a product of his two existing institutions in Benin Republic, namely King Amachree Automobile/ICT Royal Academy and King Amachree Arts Academy. Both of them, he added, currently award Diploma to their students.

Mr. Asari-Dokubo said he chose to establish the institutions in Benin Republic because he does not only live there, but has adopted it as his country.

“What we have now, we are awarding only diploma now. “By next September, Insha Allah, the university will start,” Mr. Asari-Dokubo, who dropped out of University of Calabar, he said.
“For now we have King Amachree Automobile/ICT Royal Academy and King Amachree Arts Academy. Two of them were merged. We have merged the two of them into king Amachree African University.

“King Amachree is my great ancestor. He was king of the Kingdom of new Calabar.”
On his soccer academy, the 50 year old Mr. Asari-Dokubo, an indigene of Rivers State, who refused to be tagged a former militant, said it was established to train the youth in soccer free of charge.
“We plan to engage the youths. It is free. We have a soccer academy in Abuja and we have another one in Republic of Benin,” he said.

More Nigerians are forced to go to Benin Republic, Ghana, Togo and other neigbhouring countries to acquire education due to the incessant labour disputes and industrial actions within the Nigerian university system as well as the deplorable state of education in the country.
Currently, students of both the federal and state universities in Nigeria are at home due to the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over the refusal of the Federal Government to honour its 2009 agreement with the union.

Other unions within the education sector, including the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, have also embarked on solidarity strike while the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, and Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, are reportedly on the verge of doing towing that path.
Students of the over 50 private universities in Nigeria, whose fees can only be afforded the rich, are however, in session.

Mr. Asari-Dokubo is, like former Niger Delta militants enjoying massive patronage from the current administration, believe to be very wealthy but his source of income is largely unknown.

There were speculation he made his fortune stealing crude oil in the Niger Delta. But he denied engaging in such practices, telling PREMIUM TIMES he had never been part of any act capable of endangering the Delta.

FFK responds to Aviation Minister, calls her market woman, fish wife

Former minister of Aviation Femi Fani Kayode has responded to the current minister of Aviation Ms. Stella Oduah who yesterday described him as an ignorant individual, who “should hide his head in shame.” after he called for her resignation following Thursday's crash...

Mrs Stella Oduah said:
"I have huge sympathy for them, the ignorant people in particular. Because when you speak out of context, when you speak under the influence of whatever it is you are under, you speak incorrectly and you mislead innocent Nigerians and that is what he has done. And he really should hide his head in shame.”
Femi Fani Kayode's response below...
Stella Oduah made some comments about me today (yesterday) which were uncalled for, malicious and petty. She reportedly said that I should ''bow my head in shame'', suggested that I was ''speaking out of context'' in my essay where I called for her resignation and that I spoke under some ''influence of something or other''. My advice and counsel to her is to grow up and stop being petty. She is meant to talk like someone who befits her office and not like a market woman, a fish wife or a creature from a Parisian bordello.

I do not like joining issues with women publiclly which is why I was very gentle with her in my essay though I made my point. But this particular woman is endangering the lives of our people with her incompetence and insensitivity and we cannot just keep quiet. This is a woman under whose watch almost 200 people have been killed as Aviation Minister and instead of focusing on how to save lives her obsession has become smearing and abusing Femi Fani-Kayode. This is a woman who only yesterday told Nigerians that ''accidents are inevitable'' and that they were ''acts of God''. This is a woman who thinks more about how her headscarf looks, her jewellry and the jewellry of others more than she does about protecting Nigerian air travellers

If anyone should bury her head in shame it is her and not me. After just under 200 of our fellow citizens have been killed under her watch instead of abusing her critics and those of us that have expressed our concern and offered our advise she should be seeking repentance from God and tendering her resignation. She should be attempting to encourage the Nigerian people and assuage their fears rather than indulging in petty and cheap sideshots  and an futile press war. Instead of comforting the families of those that were lost she is opening her mouth and abusing me.  What a shame. Under her tenure we have beautiful terminals but deadly and blood soaked skies. Our skies have become a death trap because she really doesn't care.

My advice to her is to shut up, get serious and focus on doing her job rather than attempting to smear me with her filthy lies and malicious innuendos. I raised some serious issues in that essay that were clearly above her education level and I avoided personal insults. That is what civilsed people do. She should learn from that and address the issues that were raised rather than spend her time trying to kill the messanger. When someone says that God is the author of fatal crashes you know that it is not the same God that we worship as that person. It is the devil that causes accidents and kills people and not God. You can say that a fatal accident is an act of God only if the devil is your god. When I speak and write I am under the influence of one thing and one thing alone- the Spirit of the Living God who sees through her and who knows her for what she is.

She is the one that is under the influence of one thing or the other and not me. She is the one whose hands are filled with blood. She is the one that must bury her head in shame and no-one else. I will pray for her because she needs it and I will pray for Nigeria to. May God deliver us from this vampire Minister.

Lagos plane crash: Another survivor dies, death toll now 15

One of the survivors of the Associated Airlines plane that crash in Lagos on Thursday died yesterday, after all efforts to save his life failed.

Identified as Samson Hassan, he is one of the six survivors of the accident that killed 13 instantly.

The plane with 20 passengers on board was conveying the remains of former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Agagu to his state for burial when it crashed few minutes after take-off in the local wing of the Lagos Airport.

Earlier, another survivor, Taiwo Akintunde, also gave up the ghost after several efforts to save his life failed.

Hassan was kept at the highly sterilised Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja before he was confirmed dead.

DailyPost gathered that both men were hooked up to sophisticated electronic monitors to help check their blood pressures and general health conditions.

His death was later confirmed in a release issued by one Mrs Bolanle Okusanya- Feyita, who spoke on behalf of the Magbamawo Industrial Company (MIC) Royal Ltd, where Hassan was a staff.

The company lost its Chief Executive, Mr. Olatunji Okusanya, his son, Mr Olatunji Okusanya Jnr. and four members of staff – Mr Akeem Akintunde, Mr Chijioke Duru, Mr Kingsley Amaechi and now Hassan, in the crash.

The only female survivor at LASUTH, Toyin Samson, who was at the Recuperating Ward of the Surgical Emergency ward was still stable, same as the duo of Feyi Agagu and Femi Akinsanya.

Meanwhile, the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test process finally kicked off after the families of the deceased persons stormed the morgue for the test.

The process was witnessed by officials of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Lagos State Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Wale Ahmed.

The result of the DNA process is expected to be out within the next one month.

Kim Kardashian Demands That Khloe Kardashian Get Rid Of Lamar Odom?

According to popular blogger America blogger Perez Hilton, Kim Kardashian has got no sympathy for her baby sister Khloe Kardashian who is currently going through a difficult time in her marriage to Lamar Odom over his womanizing and drug scandals.

Kim has apparently decided that Lamar Odom is hurting their family brand too much and wants him gone forever says Perez who quotes a source on his blog:

“Khloe was at momager Kris Jenner‘s house, and Kim just lit into her about how much Lamar was hurting their bottom line and creating so much negative publicity. Kim can’t understand why Khloe hasn’t dumped Lamar because he is showing absolutely no desire to go to rehab. The headlines surrounding Lamar’s womanizing and drug addiction are tacky according to Kim, and she doesn’t want to be associated with it. Khloe has maintained that she isn’t ready to pull the plug on their marriage. The last thing Khloe needs is her family turn on her. Khloe left the house in tears.”
